About Equation Labs

Equation Labs is an applied research and development company that designs, builds and operates modular gasification systems and the AI control software that governs them. We turn biomass, agricultural residue and sorted municipal waste into dependable electricity, heat and carbon-storing biochar — while developing the mathematics, learning algorithms and edge-deployed control systems that let living industrial processes run and correct themselves.

Our work spans two arms. Containerised energy systems — the EQL and EQX models — are live in France, India and Indonesia, displacing diesel and locking stable carbon into soil. A contract research group delivers continuous-time modelling, safe reinforcement learning and edge deployment under research programmes with university and institute partners across Europe and Australia.

Equation Labs is for municipalities, industrial operators and energy buyers who need to displace diesel and sequester carbon, and for research institutions seeking a partner that can take a model from equation to deployed controller. We are based in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain, and our team of engineers and researchers builds every machine and control system from first principles.
